Patti Jo and Bloody Mary
October 8 - 10th 2004
It was non-stop makeup demonstrations, tips, sharing stories, giving
hints and how to's for young
adults wanting to become makeup artists
and special effects experts. Bobbie Weiner autographed copies of Titanic
Call Sheets, her upcoming comic book expected out in December, and Bloody
Mary hats and t-shirts.
For young and old alike it was fun to hear a few stories about actors
and actresses that people from
the Quad Cities only see at the movies
or on TV. Bobbie is a good story presenter, and she is able
to work and
talk at the same time. Her energy level is high and she loves people.
She bubbles
over and in infectious.
Her makeup line is not just geared to monster and Halloween but also
covers, Goth, makeup for
funeral homes, blood products, tattoo coverup, Retro, camaflouge, cheerleaders
and game makeup,
and FX . She shared about product development and her line being developed
as hypo-allergenic
and custom mixed to meet special needs.
Demonstrations went from a cute cuddly clown child to a dead man with
a bullet hole. Her spirit gum is water soluble and washes off with warm
water and soap (as does all her makeup). She has developed a little lash
tool that prevents getting mascara above and below the lash line. Her
Retro Pink Eye Shadow is HOT, and her RED Eye Shadow for Goth is to "die"
for.
The "Photo" page has several of the demonstrations photograped as they
progressed. Do note that necks, arms and hands were not done in the demonstrations.
